On May 29, 1913, the Champs Elysees Theater in Paris witnessed one of the most radical changes in the history of music and dance, when the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky alongside choreographer and dancer Vaslav Nijinsky brought this magnificent ballet, in which they stage the ritual sacrifice of a young virgin chosen to celebrate the arrival of spring.
